Educational Components

Remember – recollect important life stories and experiences which have been formative, especially of one’s ideas and beliefs regarding immigration

Encounter – engage learners with concepts, history and testimony regarding a stage in the Cycle of Immigration

Reflect – invite learners to reflect on patterns in their lives in light of new learnings, learners interface their own interpretive framework with new information and understanding

Share – invite learners to disclose and confront parts of their story which are usually kept hidden

Respond – engage learners in developing and committing to next steps in response to what they have learned.  Responding should naturally proceed from the rest of the process
