Encounter – Introduce and watch video

Reflect – Give learners 10 minutes after the video to gather their thoughts, during this time they are to write down their first impressions as well as any observations or questions.  Ask for volunteers to share what struck them the most deeply.  Let the discussion progress but be prepared with guiding questions:
•    How much did you know about the agenda behind some of the ‘science’ of race?  What was most shocking here?
•    How did the reactions of the students strike you?  Which students were surprised by the results of their genetic tests?
•    Did this video reveal any biases in your own mind?
•    Did you resonate especially with any part of the video?  Did it bring back your own experience with race?
•    What is the author saying about how the church should operate in relation to the “foreigner” or “stranger?”
•    What might this mean for the church in the United States?
