Uncivil Disunion
Encounter – Introduce and watch video, have learners take notes on things that strike them or that they would like to visit in discussion
Reflect – Discuss in large group, let discussion flow but be prepared with the following guiding questions:
• What stands strikes you most from the video?
• Why is this family not recognized by immigration policy?
• Who is benefiting from these women having difficulty with immigration? Who is being adversely affected?
• What does this tell you about the immigration system?
Allow 10 minutes for video, at least 30 minutes for discussion
